Amazon Web Services (AWS) has recently successfully ran AWS compute and machine learning services on an orbiting satellite in a first-of-its kind space experiment.
Prof. Pini Gurfil, ASRI member and former ASRI Director, commentated on this experiment in an interview given to the Israeli Space Agency news website, explaining that this experiment is a potential breakthrough in on-orbit computing capabilities.
